Caught by the Dawn – a love story
Inspired by the story of my mountain - Mauao

This collection of work is inspired by the threshold between states, of magic quietly working in the dark shadows,
and of the light finding you magnificent and anchored, in the full clarity of day.

The painting surfaces shift and change in the light.
Under the skin of each gold leaf canvas lies a complete painting, a memory, an imagining or feeling.
Both preserved and alive in real time, they are like all memories and stories.

The sculptural works, in coarse clay and silk threads
map the line between being earthed and belonging,
whilst still enjoying the breath of lights movement through air.
